'Syria, Lebanon armies self-sufficient'

TEHRAN, Jun. 10 (MNA) – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mostafa Izadi pointed to inclusive nature of Islamic Revolution, noting that its doctrines are derived from Quran which seeks protection of humanity.

"Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and Yemeni fighters both rely on their own missile power capacities," General Izadi said on the sidelines of 2nd Congress of Sustainable Security underway in Imam Hossein Comprehensive University.

In Iraq, a popular movement is expected to rise which will help the country achieve self-sufficiency in military fields, Izadi stressed.

Zelzal missile system, which is an Iranian-made solid propellant missile with a range of 200 km, has not been used in Syria against ISIL terrorist group, Izadi said, adding that regional uprisings were often according to overall experience of Islamic Revolution.
